Phd (Cand.) Michalis Papadopoulos

Researcher
European University Cyprus

Michalis Papadopoulos is a PhD candidate in Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of European University Cyprus. He is also an Early Stage Researcher for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) i-CONN (https://iconn.network/) and his research is funded by the European Commission, under their H2020 programme.

He holds a BSc degree in Physics and an MSc degree in Computational Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. For his thesis, he used symplectic integration methods on 3-body planetary systems, in order to check the validity of certain stability criteria.

His current scientific interests span across various disciplines (e.g., Astrophysics, Neuroscience, Geomorphology, etc.), while he utilizes Graph theoretical approaches for his analysis. His primary work involves representation of samples of galaxies with networks and inferring information about their evolutionary states.
