European University Cyprus Rector and Head of Aristarchus Research Center – ARC, Prof Andreas Efstathiou participates in exciting new discovery linking Black Holes to Dark Energy!!
Two papers published earlier this week in the Astrophysical Journal & Astrophysical Journal Letters by a team of 17 researchers find the first observational evidence which links the evolution of Supermassive blackholes at the centers of galaxies to the expansion rate of the Universe.
ARC Director Andreas Efstathiou is a proud member of the team led by Duncan Farrah at the University of Hawaii.
This amazing new discovery offers a groundbreaking explanation for the source of Dark Energy, the biggest open problem in cosmology, as well as further insight on the true nature of Supermassive blackholes.
